Build on existing infrastructure
Modern IoT deployments rely on Edge computing gateways, virtual machines and appliance for security, robustness, speed of capture, speed of response, localized Ai/ML deployment, telemetry data backup, lower cloud hosting costs, backup, redundancy, data sovereignty, privacy and governance just to name a few.Cypernex powered Edge compute devices interconnect new and existing machinery, IoT devices and smart machines to / from it’s consolidated IoT ecosystem. Once consolidated your free to expand and extend your infrastructure adopting new solutions to overcome challenges and/or introduce new capability into your organization.
Below is a two-stage data production flow, refining raw telemetry from local sensors and combining these with externally sourced (refined) data from other sources.Cypernex powered Edge compute devices interconnect new and existing machinery, IoT devices and smart machines to / from it’s consolidated IoT ecosystem. Once consolidated your free to expand and extend your infrastructure adopting new solutions to overcome challenges and/or introduce new capability into your organization.
The second stage uses data from weather sites, enterprise ERP or IoT connectivity sources connected by Lora, API, Sigfox, microservices. Resulting refined data then stored in a local InfluxDB, AWS and Azure.By leveraging all available technologies including; Scada, Modbus, OPC UA, http, MQTT, CoAP, TCP, UDP, NB, LoRa, Sigfox, WiFi, RF, Zigbee, Mesh, Cypernex provides a universal platform through which all devices will communicate. Device and platform interoperability then follows with telemetry data available to be shared in other data sets across the ecosystem extending device data value well beyond the originally conceived purpose and consumed through visualization in a single-pane-of-glass.
Single-pane-of-glass
The ideal of a “Single-pane-of-glass” for IT infrastructure management has been the chimerical goal of vendors for years”, says Forrester analyst Lauren E. Nelson (Apr 2018). Whilst the idea was originally conceived in relation to IT management, the term has been more recently been adopted for solutions in the IoT space. For IoT the ideal describes an ability to consolidate IoT, IIoT, IT and ERP information into common digital assets that would when combined constitute organizational intelligence. A single screen view of an organization by role with additional layers that could be unfolded / revealed when required. As such a single-pane-of-glass whilst not an actual software deliverable, it is instead a way of using the Cypernet platform that would foster organizational intelligence, potency and innovation.
