These are co-dependent technologies, and for Cypernex the three pillars on which the company is building its future.

Its common knowledge IoT is creating enormous volumes of data and as data production platforms like Cypernex become common place, these volumes will expand exponentially. Desktop and mobile technologies are at a distinct disadvantage and many commentators acknowledge XR is in a position to make full use of these vast quantities of data.
Research shows that an image or video can communicate over 1000 times more information to humans than two dimensional data. If we then include only a few of the additional human senses such as sound, movement, speed, motion the rate of information exchange multiplies exponentially. If with the development of innovative scenes prompts and affordances, user interfaces not only communicate through senses, but stimulate intuition and life experience to convey a information.
XR would then be well positioned to be the only suitable means of presenting the vast quantities of information human kind is now accumulating.
Imagine this: Instead of a dashboard telling us there is a warning light flashing on a conveyer, show us the production line slowing down and then stopping in XR and the primary motor glowing red because the platform knows it’s not drawing any current and has assumed it has stopped.
In early 2019 Cypernex embarked on a journey to develop functional interoperability between IoT enabled smart devices and their counterparts in VR. To that end the first operational versions of a true VR interface were created and the concept proven. These early prototypes are in use under our Beta program and have given way to more advanced designs currently under development.
For interoperability to be possible, Cypernex had to overcome many obstacles, some of the basics included;

Virtual gateway

To overcome these are many other challenges Cypernex has developed technologies that are best described as a “Virtual-Gateway”. The role of a Virtual-gateway to transform information held as raw data in digital-twins to and from XR.
The virtual gateway manages scene rendering on Virtual appliances through a series of API’s called from the Virtual-OS running on those devices. The gateway manages scene rendering and hot spots for appliance interaction with the player. It also manages content deliverable and functionality available in Holo desks, display panels, teleporting, environment and Heads-up-displays (HUD).
The key to his technology is however the concept of Triple-Twins.

Triple Twins

Triple twins are the bridge between the physical and virtual worlds and are essential to Virtual gateway operation.
Digital twins: Are one in the same as the digital twins present in all major cloud platforms.
Virtual-Twins: Converts raw data to / from its cause or effect in XR
Render-Twins: Converts cause/effect into its virtual equivalent, implication or consequence
Each set of twins plays a vital role for interaction with virtual appliances running Cypernex Virtual-OS.

Virtual-OS

Virtual-OS is a stripped-down interoperability OS built in C# for Unity 3D developers. It is small, light weight to download and once installed dynamically uploads scene assets on the fly. It seldom requires updating or upgrades and can be installed quickly in multiple users devices. It will only render scenes and applications linked to that users credentials. By uploading only as needed the Virtual-OS uses very little device resources whilst offering scene developers flexibility to allow the player to move through extensive/detailed scenes and/or landscapes.
User data access is managed by the Virtual-gateway providing data and functionality governance based on user groups, SLA contract T&C, paid or free services. It supports trial periods for Virtual-OS applications, demo data and many of the other features we have come to expect in Web applications.
VR scenes developed in Unity 3D can be created with impressive realism.
Players are scene characters with a selected appearance. As a multi-player platform your scene designer has full liberty to create scenes to match your requirements and the platform will provide sufficient detail for designer to show other players as real characters, he/she may know or vague outlines of people not in his/her team.
Players interact with the real world using HUD or other instruments placed in the scene. A yellow mat appears wherever interaction is possible.
